A critique of Joyce’s site
The whole site is very simply laid out and easy to navigate. One thing I do notice right away is that on my browser, I have to scroll down a bit on the main page to see the whole image. Maybe too much negative space at the top? On a whole I think that everything looks nice, but there are a few minor points. The grey on the “Projects” and “Bio” pages is darker than the grey on the main page, and I think the lighter grey works better. Also, I feel that something is “missing” overall, but unfortunately I can’t really say what that something is. It just feels somehow unfinished in general, but maybe it is?
Overall though, the site is clearly laid out, easy to navigate, and definitely not cluttered up with pointless crap. That’s always a plus.
